Hello BeamNG.drive Support Team,
I am experiencing a persistent Fatal Lua Error whenever I try to enter the Career Mode (Tor Al-Mehna) in the game.
The specific error message is:
Fatal Lua Error: ‘lua/ge/extensions/career/saveSystem.lua:86: attempt to compare string with number’
This issue completely prevents me from starting a new career or accessing the mode.
I have already performed the following exhaustive troubleshooting steps without success:
• Verified the integrity of the game files via Steam.
• Cleared the game cache (via the Launcher).
• Launched the game in Safe Mode.
• Disabled Steam Cloud synchronization (both per-game and globally).
• Manually deleted/renamed the entire user folder (BeamNG.drive) in AppData\Local.
• Manually deleted the local Steam Cloud files in the userdata folder.
Since the error persists after completely resetting the user files and disabling the Cloud, the issue seems to be complex or potentially a known bug related to the saveSystem.lua file.
Could you please provide a specific solution or a fix for this particular Lua error?
